Cherry Pavlova and Damson Plum Jam

Dinner party pav - was nicer than I thought it would be because the cherries offset the sweetness - nice combo, enjoyed by all

Bumper crop of plums this year. 37 jars on day one and 20 more on day two. Yum yum yum

Jack is 4

Another simple cake - but at least Jack chose this one. Cheap trucks from the $2 shop, makes it look quite cool.

Wolf is 2

My dear wee grandson turned 2 and this is the best I could muster up - even though it tasted good and all the kids enjoyed it. Bad Grandma

Ninjago Cake

I love making little fondant figures - Theo's 6th birthday

Roses and hearts

These two cakes were made for the same lady whose Mum and Auntie were celebrating birthdays on the same day - the pink square cake looks so crooked in the pic.

Rainbow Dash for Miss A

Rainbow Dash was the request. Although Miss A was delighted, as you can see from her lovely smile - I was a bit disappointed as the buttercream did not hold it's shape from the piping bag. It tasted okay, but the temperature in the kitchen meant that it stayed too soft.

Happy 80th Yvonne

Moira's Mum turns 80. I am quite pleased with the way these roses turned out. The leaves are a bit bright. Once again, my ability to write with a piping bag is questionable. I must practice...I must practice...
